[Preparation of immunochemically pure low-density lipoproteins]

The author proposes a two-staged method for purification of low-density lipoproteins (LDL) obtained by ultracentrifugation from ballast proteins and immunoglobulins. The presence of at least two classes of immunoglobulins in LDL isolated by ultracentrifugation in the circulating immune complex LDL + antibody has been confirmed. The proposed method helps liberate LDL antigenic determinants blocked by autoantibodies to LDL.
