[Pathogenesis and diagnosis of androgenetic manifestations]

The endrocrinologic evaluation of androgenetic phenomena is complex and difficult. The targeted use of diverse hormone determinations and functional tests, of vaginal sonography and other imaging measures as well as selective catheterization of adrenal and ovarial veins in exceptional cases, however, permit efficient and precise diagnoses.
