    • To measure the electric resistance (R) and capacitance (C) of A. mediterranea cells across a range of membrane potentials (MP).
    • To develop an equivalent electric circuit model for the A. mediterranea cell membrane.

    Summary:

    • Electric resistance and capacitance of A. mediterranea cells were measured at membrane potentials of -170 mV and -80 mV.
    • At -170 mV, the cell resistance was 4.3 KOm-cm², and at -80 mV, it was 1.4 KOm-cm².
    • Capacitance remained consistent at approximately 1.3 x 10³ µF/cm² at both measured membrane potentials. An equivalent electric circuit model was proposed.
