[Combined nitroglycerin-heparin infusion in mesenteric venous thrombosis]

Surgical treatment of venous mesenterial thrombosis (VMT) may result in a short bowel-syndrome. We report the successful outcome of combined intravenous heparin and nitroglycerine in a case of VMT followed by a limited resection of small bowel.
