Abstract:
The heterogeneity of soft-tissue neoplasms constantly challenges the diagnostic skills of pathologists. Fine needle aspiration biopsy (FNAB) cytology can provide a quick and relatively safe assessment of soft-tissue masses and can significantly contribute to patient management. This article illustrates the FNAB cytologic features of the most commonly encountered soft tissue lesions and discusses their differential diagnoses.
