Abstract:
Action is taken to help a group of registrars to enhance their skills as trainers of senior house officers. To this end, they are provided with guidance to increase the quantity and improve the quality of the questions they ask at a daily business meeting. After a study of the guidance, the trainers showed dramatic gains in their questioning technique. On-the-job training can be improved at the cost of a relatively small amount of additional time.
