Abstract:
An alternative form of fixation was used for arthrodesis of 10 wrists in 10 nonrheumatoid patients. Fusion took place in all patients at an average of 7 weeks. There were 5 complications in 10 wrists after an average follow-up of 4 years. All patients had pain relief after the procedure, and 9 patients were able to return to their previous occupation.
