Minnesota Colleagues in Caring Collaborative

Greater mobility, new practice settings, a tight labor market, high expectations for nursing skills in both acute and ambulatory settings, and an uncertain future for higher education--what do these spell for nursing employment? Managed care in Minnesota has led to greater diversity in practice settings and professional activities for nurses. Nursing has proved resilient to changes in this environment so far, but what about the future? Minnesota Colleagues in Caring is positioning itself through regional service/education partnerships to be proactive in nursing's future in Minnesota.
