Small computers: the directions of the future in mental health

Small computers will have a significant impact on mental health centers during the 1980's. The continued advances in computer technology, together with price decreases, will provide affordable hardware even at the smallest centers. The challenges will be to provide the systems and the programs that will make this hardware adaptable to the needs of the centers. Center staff will need to become more cognizant of the problems and solutions toward implementing automated offices.
