Summary

Hydrocortisone (HC) induced immunosuppression in rats significantly delayed wound healing. This developed immunocompromised wound model is suitable for testing new wound healing compounds for immune-compromised individuals.

Purpose of the Study:

  • To develop and validate an excision wound model in immunocompromised rats.
