Summary
Carbachol desensitizes pancreatic acini to cholecystokinin-octapeptide (CCK-8) and bombesin by down-regulating their receptors. However, carbachol does not affect substance P-stimulated enzyme secretion or substance P receptor binding in guinea pig pancreas.
