[Observation on HIV-infected patients with otolaryngology surgery]

Abstract

Objective:

To discuss the feasibility of otolaryngology surgery on HIV-infected patients.

Method:

Nineteen cases HIV-infected patients whose general examinations were normal were operated.

Result:

Two cases died in the day of operation, 1 case died due to the syndrome of AIDS in the third month after operation, the others are still alive and their symptoms and quality of life improved after operation.

Conclusion:

If general examinations are normal, the otolaryngology surgery can be performed for HIV-infected patients and the assuredness and ratio of survive will be improved.
