[A device for the continuous automatic withdrawal of gastric juice]

Since the known vacuum devices for permanent and pulsed withdrawal of gastric juice are not devoid of shortcomings, the authors have developed a new design permitting hermetic sealing and vacuum creation in these devices. The suggested device stabilizes the vacuum system operation, provides reliable sealing, automated sliding and sealing of flasks for gastric juice. This shortens the time of examination that a patient may carry out by himself. The device is intended for therapeutic, gastroenterologic, and outpatient departments of a therapeutic institution.
