[Determination of the erythrocyte deformability index]

The suggested modification of the red cell deformability index consists in estimation of the ratio between the diameters of spots of 0.02 ml of 60% suspension of washed red cells and of 0.2 ml of normal saline, placed onto Filtrak-388 filter. The modification is simple, available, well reproducible, and sensitive.
