Abstract:
Dr. Michael Carvan is an Assistant Scientist in the Great Lakes WATER Institute at the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee, with appointments in the Department of Biological Sciences and the College of Health Sciences. He received his Bachelor 's degree in Marine Biology from the University of North Carolina-Wilmington, and a Master's degree in Biological Oceanography from the University of Miami Rosenstiel School of Marine and Atmospheric Science. Dr. Carvan received his Ph.D. in Anatomy and Public Health from the Texas A & M University College of Veterinary Medicine with a focus on toxicology. He pursued postdoctoral training in molecular toxicology and environmental genetics at the University of Cincinnati Medical Center.
