Persistent pulmonary hypertension after mitral valve surgery: does surgical procedure affect outcome?

Pulmonary hypertension is common after mitral valve surgery, regardless of the procedure type. While pressures generally decreased, physiological repair showed favorable hemodynamics and lower rates of post-operative pulmonary hypertension.
