Using virtual patients to improve cardiac examination competency in medical students

Virtual patient examinations (VPEs) significantly improved cardiac examination (CE) skills, including inspection and auscultation, in medical students. These enhanced CE competencies were retained long-term, demonstrating the effectiveness of VPEs in medical education.
