Abstract:
In the last decade our laboratory has synthesized and characterized the analogue tricyclo-DNA (tc-DNA) which shows promising properties as antisense agent. As part of ongoing work to establish a structure/affinity relationship of the bicyclo-DNA scaffold the synthesis of [4.3.0]-bicyclo-DNA was undertaken. Here we present an expedient synthesis and an X-ray structure of the corresponding thymidyl monomer.
