Abstract:
Recurrent vulvo-vaginitis is indeed a difficult problem with both a physical and psycho-sexual impact on the patient. A thorough and caring approach is important to help patients through a demanding time. Future hopes lie in the refinement of better tolerated oral imidazoles and the research into the immunology of candidiasis.
