Abstract:
The near- and far-field performance of three practical positive branch unstable resonator designs was compared for a commercial excimer laser operating on ArF and KrF. Atmospheric attenuation at 193 and 248 nm was measured.

Standing Waves in a Cavity
A household microwave and lasers are examples of standing electromagnetic waves in a cavity. When two conducting metal plates are placed parallel at the nodal planes, it creates a cavity where standing waves are formed.
