Stimulus-driven incidental episodic retrieval involves activation of the left posterior parietal cortex

The posterior parietal cortex (PPC) activates during memory retrieval. This study found that simply seeing repeated stimuli, even without trying to recall them, engages the PPC, particularly with longer delays between presentations.
