Paracetamol and opioid pathways: a pilot randomized clinical trial

This study found that naloxone, an opioid antagonist, did not block the pain-relieving effects of paracetamol (acetaminophen) in healthy volunteers. This suggests the opioid system is not significantly involved in how paracetamol works.
