Abstract:
The clinical effect of subcutaneous heparin-Ca of delayed action (Heparin Calcium inj. 25,000 IU/ml, Chemical Works of Gedeon Richter) has been examined in 26 acute and 6 imminent myocardial infarction patients. The therapy was started with 10,000 IU intravenous heparin dose. Subsequently the native blood coagulation time (Lee-White) was continuously maintained on the therapeutic level with subcutaneous injections administered every 12 hours. Except for superficial haemorrhages other side-effects were not observed in any of the cases. Anticoagulant therapy was continued with Syncumar tablet from days 4-5 of acute myocardial infarction.
