Affective organizational commitment is crucial for employee identification, work effort, and retention.
Casual tutors in problem-based learning (PBL) environments are key to student engagement and learning outcomes.

Purpose of the Study:

To explore casual tutors' experiences in problem-based learning (PBL) tutorials.
To identify factors influencing job satisfaction and affective commitment among these tutors.

Main Methods:

Qualitative data collected from 13 first- and second-year tutors (clinicians and non-clinicians).
Two focus groups were conducted to gather in-depth insights.

Main Results:

Four themes emerged: job-related factors, job involvement, professional challenges, and mentoring.
