Higher thyroid-stimulating hormone (TSH) levels are linked to increased plasma cholesteryl ester transfer (CET) in Type 2 diabetes mellitus (T2DM) patients, especially with high triglycerides. This suggests low-normal thyroid function may worsen cardiovascular risk in T2DM.
