EDTA-dependent pseudothrombocytopenia (EDTA-PTCP), an in vitro artifact, was observed alongside acute eosinophilic pneumonia in a rectal cancer patient. This case highlights a potential link between EDTA-PTCP and severe inflammatory responses, warranting further investigation.
