External enhanced counterpulsation (EECP) is safe for patients with implantable cardioverter defibrillators (ICDs) and cardiac resynchronization therapy with defibrillator (CRT-D) devices. However, some CRT-D patients may experience QRS sensing issues or inappropriate sinus tachycardia during EECP.
