Trends in invasive methicillin-resistant Staphylococcus aureus infections

Invasive methicillin-resistant Staphylococcus aureus (MRSA) infections in children increased from 2005-2010, particularly community-associated strains. Young infants and black children were disproportionately affected, highlighting a need for targeted prevention strategies.
