Vitamin D deficiency in patients with tuberculosis

Vitamin D deficiency is significantly more common in tuberculosis patients than in healthy individuals. This deficiency is particularly prevalent in women, those with lower BMI, and patients with drug-resistant or extrapulmonary tuberculosis.
