  • Two-year follow-up revealed no evidence of disease recurrence or metastasis.
  • This outcome suggests the potential for successful management of primary esophageal melanoma.

Implications:

  • Early and accurate diagnosis is crucial for improving outcomes in upper gastrointestinal melanomas.
  • Surgical resection can be a curative option for localized primary esophageal melanoma.
  • Further research into diagnostic and therapeutic strategies for this rare condition is warranted.
