How does parental smoking affect nasal mucociliary clearance in children?

Passive smoking, even when parents smoke outside, may increase nasal mucociliary clearance (MCC) time in children. Exposure to environmental tobacco smoke significantly impacts children's nasal function, particularly when smoking occurs indoors.
