Major depressive disorder (MDD) shows altered brain connectivity networks (CCN) in early stages. Specifically, the left dorsolateral prefrontal cortex (DLPFC) exhibits increased functional connectivity in depressed individuals, suggesting its role in cognitive dysfunction.
