Abstract:
This article describes an innovative elective nursing course developed and implemented in a private, liberal arts school of nursing grounded in Dominican values of study, reflection, and action. Course development, course content, and highlights and lowlights of the first cohort experience and implications for the community are discussed, along with background about veteran-centered care.
