The endonasal approach to dacryocystorhinostomy (DCR) significantly improves quality of life more than the external approach for nasolacrimal duct obstruction. Both methods offer benefits, but endonasal DCR shows superior outcomes in patient-reported symptom relief.

- Despite differences in age and success rates, the superior quality of life outcomes for endonasal DCR persisted.
- Larger, randomized studies are recommended to further validate these findings.
