    Purpose of the Study:

    • To investigate the efficacy of gadolinium orthovanadate nanoparticles (NP GdVO4) in treating experimentally induced male hypofertility in rats.
    • To compare the therapeutic effects of NP GdVO4 with a reference drug, Speman.

    Main Methods:

    • Male rats were exposed to maternal separation stress and phytoestrogens during early life.
    • Treated groups received NP GdVO4 or Speman for 70 days, starting at 10 months of age.
    • Evaluated sexual behavior, fertility rates, pregnancy outcomes, and reproductive potential indicator (FI).

    Main Results:

    • Neonatal induction of hypofertility significantly impaired sexual behavior, reduced insemination rates, and decreased fertility.
    • NP GdVO4 treatment normalized sexual behavior, increased fertilized females to 95%, and improved sperm quality.
    • NP GdVO4 significantly enhanced the integrated indicator of reproductive potential (FI) compared to untreated and Speman-treated groups.

    Conclusions:

    • Gadolinium orthovanadate nanoparticles (NP GdVO4) are a highly effective therapeutic agent for male hypofertility induced by neonatal reproductive disease.
    • NP GdVO4 demonstrates superior efficacy over Speman in restoring male fertility and reproductive potential.
    • This study highlights the potential of NP GdVO4 as a novel treatment for male infertility.
