Background:

The hybrid model of creativity posits distinct domains reflecting a general creativity factor.
Understanding regional variations in creativity and its motivators is crucial.

Purpose of the Study:

To test the hybrid model of creativity in Russian populations.
To investigate socio-demographic and value correlates of creativity across regions.

Multigroup confirmatory analysis was used to validate the creativity model.
Data were collected from representative samples in Central Russia and the North Caucasus (N = 2,046).
Correlation analyses examined relationships between creativity, values, and socio-demographic factors.

The hybrid model with six domains and a general creativity factor demonstrated invariance across regions.
Central Russia scored higher on global creativity and all six domains compared to the North Caucasus.
Openness to Change values positively correlated with creativity, while Conservation values negatively correlated.

The hybrid model of creativity is applicable across diverse cultural contexts within Russia.
Regional differences in creativity are influenced by socio-cultural factors and value systems.
Domain-specific values uniquely predict creativity, highlighting the complexity of creative motivation.
