Abstract:
Injections of dermal fillers are commonly performed procedures. The usage of dermal fillers is expanding worldwide, and many serious complications have been reported. This review focuses on the various types of complications and the relevant treatment of these complications. The most serious complication is vascular occlusion, which can lead to tissue necrosis and visions loss. A good understanding of the facial vascular anatomy can reduce the risk of vascular complications. Early identification of complications and prompt intervention can minimise the risk of long-term sequelae.
