GABAA receptor autoimmunity: A multicenter experience.

We validated methods to detect GABAA receptor (R)-IgG, finding it in 6 patients with encephalitis and refractory seizures. Early diagnosis and immunotherapy improve outcomes for this treatable neurological condition.
