Predicting retinal pigment epithelium remodelling and its functional impact

Retinal pigment epithelium (RPE) tear remodelling occurred in half of age-related macular degeneration (AMD) patients, linked to younger age and smaller detachments. However, this structural recovery did not improve visual outcomes.
