[Two cases of adrenal cysts].

Background:

Observation:

• A 44-year-old woman presented with bilateral adrenal cysts, a potentially novel finding in Japanese literature.
• A 71-year-old woman had a left adrenal cyst with calcification, presenting with asymptomatic gross hematuria.

Findings:

• Hormone levels (cortisol, aldosterone) in cyst fluid were elevated compared to plasma in both cases.
• Percutaneous needle aspiration under ultrasound guidance allowed for cyst fluid analysis.

Implications:

• Hormonal analysis of adrenal cyst fluid is a valuable tool for differential diagnosis.
• This technique aids in distinguishing adrenal cysts from other adrenal neoplasms or cysts of different origins.
