    • The carcinoid tumor cells invaded nerve fibers but not the subserosa.
    • Postoperative serotonin and histamine levels were normal.
    • The patient remained recurrence-free 17 months post-surgery.

    Implications:

    • This case highlights the importance of thorough histological evaluation of gastric duplication cysts.
    • Early diagnosis and surgical management are key for favorable outcomes.
    • Further research into the pathogenesis of carcinoid tumors in duplication cysts is warranted.
