To describe evidence-based behavioral characteristics of SSTFL in healthcare.
To establish a foundation for developing and testing an instrument to measure SSTFL.
To understand factors influencing the leadership-safety climate relationship in healthcare.

Main Methods:

Concept derivation process to operationalize SSTFL in healthcare.
Development of a typology of factors influencing the leadership-safety climate link.
Identification of evidence-based behavioral characteristics of SSTFL.
