Epistaxis

Epistaxis, or nosebleeds, occurs when small, swollen blood vessels in the nasal mucous membrane rupture. Typically, the anterior septum is the primary site of occurrence.

Summary

Nose reconstruction can be challenging, often needing revisions for form and function. Minor issues may be fixed with incisions and grafts, but major problems might require a complete revision using a forehead flap.

To differentiate between minor revisions and the need for complete reconstruction revision.

Discussion of indications for complete revision of nasal reconstruction, specifically utilizing a second forehead flap.
