Abstract:
The widespread adoption of minimally invasive treatments has changed the demographics of facial rejuvenation patients, with many presenting years after previous interventions. These modalities can alter tissue properties, reduce vascular reserve, distort anatomic planes, and increase rhytidectomy complexity. This article provides an evidence-based, practical framework to characterize treatment-specific impact, potential operative challenges, and realistic preoperative planning. It also presents intraoperative strategies for safely working in altered fields, while preserving nerve function and flap perfusion, to deliver predictable, natural outcomes.
