Progressive supranuclear palsy-Richardson's syndrome (PSP-RS) shows altered stepwise functional connectivity (SFC) originating from the midbrain epicenter. This network disruption influences brain atrophy patterns in PSP-RS patients, supporting a network-based pathology propagation model.
