Management of human and animal bite wounds

One of the most common problems facing the emergency department physician is the management of bite wounds. Therapy for these common injuries is ill-defined and often controversial. This article outlines treatment guidelines for the emergency physician for dog bites, cat bites, rabies, snake bites, and human bites.
