Summary

A novel nasal mucociliary (NMC) test using Iranica Picris shows promise for diagnosing thyroid dysfunction, offering an alternative for patients unable to undergo traditional blood tests for thyroid-stimulating hormones (TSH) and thyroxine (T4). This method effectively differentiates hypothyroidism and hyperthyroidism from euthyroid states.
