This study introduces an information-driven approach for Transient Hydraulic Tomography (THT) inversion, outperforming traditional signal-to-noise ratio methods. Ranking pumping data by information content (Kullback-Leibler divergence) improves accuracy and efficiency in hydrogeologic characterization.
