Introduction:
This study aimed to assess the knowledge, attitude, and perception about secondhand smoking among dental students.
Materials And Methods:
The total sample size was 500 dental students. Convenience sampling was used to recruit the study participants. The knowledge was high in clinical year students compare to nonclinical year students. 52.5% believed that there was a higher risk of congenital abnormalities in infants delivered to pregnant women who were exposed to passive smoking.
Results:
A statistically significant correlation between gender and unpleasantness being around smokers. The attitude was more in fourth-year students than other year students.
Conclusion:
This study concluded shows that regular exposure to passive smoking (SHS) occurs even when dental students have a strong understanding of passive smoking and its connection to active smokingge patients in other horizons involving younger patients with asymptomatic severe AS, and long-term outcomes of valve durability and moderate AS in combination with cardiac failure bicuspid aortic valve stenosis and pure native aortic regurgitation are however still under research.
