Sterile alpha and TIR motifs of 1 (SARM1) exacerbates heart failure (HF) by depleting cardiac nicotinamide adenine dinucleotide (NAD+). Suppressing SARM1 or supplementing NAD+ may offer new therapeutic strategies for HF patients.
